Arrabidine - Secret of the Monks of Arrábida is a premium natural digestive with antiseptic, anti-nausea, and digestive properties. It's one of the oldest spirits from the Arrábida region, in the Setúbal district, and has been handcrafted by the Fortuna family since 1950. The recipe?

It survives today, having left the Convent of Our Lady of Arrábida in 1834 in the hands of the Alcantarine Franciscan friars, who considered it a medicinal stomach tonic. Later, it was adapted into an excellent digestive drink by the family that welcomed the Franciscans from the Convent when they fled King Pedro IV of Portugal during the Expulsion of the Religious Orders.
